Redeemer Lutheran Church was established on May 15, 1932. The original church was located at 110 Wilson Street in DeRidder, Louisiana. It served to the glory of God until October 31, 1976, when the new church building, located at 811 Shirley Street in DeRidder, was dedicated. Since May 1932, Redeemer Lutheran Church has had 23 pastors, including our present pastor, Kermit C. Bostelman, who was installed as pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church on August 12, 2018. Throughout the 85 year history of Redeemer Lutheran Church there have been many events and community outreach activities. We have groups within the church, such as, Prayer Shawl, Community Garden and LWML as well as an Event Committee that is tasked with the planning of the events and outreach activities. The Prayer Shawl group crochets prayer shawls, baby blankets and hats, etc. for our neighbors near and far. The Community Garden plants and harvests fresh vegetables for God's Food Box in DeRidder. The LWML is a Womens group that helps with world wide missions. The Events Committee plans the events and outreach activities of the church.
